Another Hole in One for an OGC Member

Woodcote Park has been recovering beautifully after such a dry summer and the course is returning to its best. One of the club’s signature holes has to be the 8th, a long, downhill 181 yard par 3 with bunkers framing the approach area and each side of the green.

It was here that One Golf Club member, Andy Ripley, shot his first ever Ace.

Taking a 6 iron off the white tee, 13.8 handicapper Andy hit dead straight over the approach bunkers, a perfect line.

Two bounces, no deviation and the ball rolled straight in. Andy’s first hole-in-one.

Andy’s generosity knows no bounds and he bought his playing partners a beer at the halfway hut..!
