OGC Member Nets Hole In One at Farleigh!

On a pleasant mid-November afternoon, basking in unseasonable sunshine, Joe Jianoran had reached the 3rd hole on the blue course at Farleigh.

In a slight prevailing wind the 143 yard par 3 was playing 135 yards, with the pin centrally positioned. Joe struck his pitching wedge with a slight draw landing 3ft past the flag. The ball landed softly, with the spin and slope tracking the ball back towards the hole. A second felt like an age until the ball finally dropped into the hole.

Joe plays off 15 and went on to shoot a very respectable 85 on the day.

Joe, who has only been playing golf for 4 years said “It has taken countless very forgettable bad shots to make a memorable hole-in-one!!!”

OGC have been unable to clarify whether Joe bought a round of drinks for everyone on the day, although we’re sure he made best efforts to do so.

One Golf Club are delighted to have a member join the ranks of the OGC Ace Club.  We’re looking forward to making a suitable presentation to Joe, acknowledging this astonishing feat, in the very near future.
