The course gives golfers a truly interesting round due to the variety the holes. It’s almost as though Sweetwoods has a magical draw that lures you in… holes 1-3 are relatively straightforward enabling the golfer to get into their game and get their swing underway. Then holes 4,5,6 and 7 hit you with greens lower than where you tee off, lakes & water hazards and longer challenges with bunkers getting into your mind. What you pay for in challenge, you gain in views… as you tee off from the 4th; you’re high up on one side of the valley, with your ball flying down to the tee below you and the historic village of Cowden with its steeple church at the top of the valley right in front of you. It’s simply breath taking.

We maintain the course to an exceptional standard ensuring great drainage year round, firm and responsive greens and a fantastic halfway house offering you the chance to stock up on refreshments for the end of your round.
